Who we are

 Measure & More is an independent quantity surveying and project management consultancy providing practical, commercially grounded advice for residential and commercial projects.

The practice is led by Nigel Emmitt, Director and Senior Quantity Surveyor, who brings more than 30 years’ experience across residential, commercial, and public‑sector projects in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific.

Nigel’s experience spans the full project lifecycle — from early feasibility and budgeting through to tendering, contract administration, progress payment assessments, variations, and final account settlement.

He has prepared cost plans and Bills of Quantities for projects ranging from small residential works through to large commercial developments exceeding $50 million, including hotels, hospitals, apartment complexes, government facilities, and specialist public infrastructure.

Measure & More was established to provide accurate, transparent cost advice and to protect client outcomes throughout the construction process.

Meet the Team

  • Nigel Emmitt

    Director and Lead Quantity Surveyor

    Helping homeowners achieve their dream build is a passion project for me. Simply because I, too, am a homeowner, and I know what it’s like to be financially stretched.

    I have seen and been involved in many disputes where the costs have exceeded what the owner had budgeted for and, worse, what they could afford. I have also been involved in disputes where the contractor has gotten himself stretched and started looking for ways to recover his losses.

    When I’m not at work, I am a passionate skier and surfer travelling to Japan, Europe and Hawaii chasing the snow and surf. I have completed ironmans and marathons. I went a bit insane there for a moment and completed an ultra-marathon. Nigel enjoys time with his dogs inside and out of work.

  • Eden Reid

    Operations Manager

    Eden joined Measure&More at its conception. Eden's background is in administration, business growth and development. She is responsible for several areas of the business, including accounts, workflow management, credit control, accounts payable, business processes and systems, administration functions and team support. Eden is the main point of contact across the business and assists Nigel. She is more than happy to help out in any way that she can. Eden is a keen baker and cook and enjoys spending time with her cats in her free time.

  • Amir Hamzeh

    Quantity Surveyor

    Amir comes from Iran, where he earned a diploma in Architectural Draftsman. Amir worked for several years in real estate as a rental and seller agent. Amir came to New Zealand to study Quantity surveying and graduated with a Bachelor of Construction from Massey University. In Amir's free time, he likes reading, listening to podcasts, and lifting weight.

  • Emilie Moran

    Business Development

    Emilie has been with Measure&More from the beginning. She is the office jack of all trades and plays a crucial part in all aspects of Measure&More. Emilie is currently a student at the University of Auckland, where she is completing a law degree. Emilie enjoys spending time with her cats and finding the best noodles in Auckland.

Support Staff

  • PUPLICK RELATIONS

    Some say that hiring Dudley was pure nepotism, but we feel his work speaks for itself. Along with experience at puppy school, Dudley brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. With previous experience in team management, he is also excellent support and provides thorough cuddles to his team in Auckland. Currently working towards mastering such tricks as come and rollover, Dudley is skilled in sitting, handshake and fetch. Dudley is a proud employee of Measure&More and enjoys spending time with his family and joking around with his co-workers. In his spare time, Dudley is a champion show dog. Winning numerous competitions and Best in Show. His goal is to become a Grand Champion.

  • CHIEF SCRATCHETIST

    Unlike Dudley, hiring Percy was pure nepotism, and his role within the company is only ceremonial. In his free time, Percy enjoys the finer things in life, such as long walks in nature and relaxing mud baths.

  • Merlin is just perfect. He needs no title. We all know who's really in charge.
